Adult T-Cell Leukemia/Lymphoma

The patient is a 50-year-old woman with a history of adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma, HTLV-1 associated status-post multiple lines of therapy.

Histologic sections show needle-shaped fragments of tissue diffusely involved by lymphoma composed of medium-sized to large lymphoid cells with irregular nuclei and occasional distinct nucleoli. Frequent mitotic figures and apoptotic bodies are present.
