Angiomyomatous Hamartoma

Lessons From the Friday Unknowns

58-year-old male with no prior history of cancer but with prominent right inguinal lymphadenopathy for several months. This lesion has been monitored with regular ultrasound examinations. The most recent ultrasound showed that a lymph node appeared to be increasing in size.

Histologic sections show lymph node with an expanded stroma composed of smooth muscle and dilated blood vessels. There are multifocal areas of admixed residual lymphoid tissue.
