Histologic sections show lymph node almost completely replaced by lymphoma that also extends into perinodal adipose tissue.
The neoplasm has two components that are intermixed. One component has a diffuse pattern and is composed of small round lymphocytes. Some small pale areas are also present typical of proliferation centers.
