Lessons From the Friday Unknowns

51-year old woman presenting with anorexia, weight loss and abdominal discomfort. Imaging showed bilateral axillary, subpectoral and supraclavicular lymphadenopathy. An axillary lymph node biopsy was performed.

The patient has a history of 15 pound weight loss over the past 6 weeks, early satiety abdominal discomfort, anorexia and constipation. Laboratory studies showed: WBC 2.6, hemoglobin 10.4, platelets 213, ANA 1:160 speckled, normal anti-double stranded DNA and normal rheumatoid factor. Hemoglobin…
