Multiple lymph nodes are present and in some lymph nodes, the nodal architecture is effaced by tumor cells that appear to have two morphologic appearances; most are predominantly intermediate to large sized with dispersed chromatin and small amounts of cytoplasm.

In scattered areas, there is a different population of tumor cells that have more irregular nuclei and more abundant cytoplasm.
