Lessons From the Friday Unknowns

The patient is a 60-year-old male with persistent cough and worsening shortness of breath. PET-CT showed hypermetabolic adenopathies in the anterior mediastinum with extension to the pericardial station and to the right supraclavicular as well as infraclavicular stations.

Histologic sections show needle-shaped fragments of lymph node with diffuse neoplastic lymphoid infiltrate separated by thickened fibrous bands.
